General Grant Information
The Utah Arts Council, through its Arts Education Program, supports artists in residence, professional development for teachers, and the development of sequential arts education programs through project activity. Grant funding is available to schools, school districts, and nonprofit community organizations. AE supports arts learning for ages pre-school through senior citizens. Below are brief descriptions of the three different grants offered through the Arts Education Program.

Artist in Residence Grants -- Schools and organizations may apply for funding to hold residencies, which provide opportunities to work in-depth with accomplished artists, who integrate their work into the regular learning life of students, schools and communities.

Teacher-Initiated Project (TIP) Grants -- Any teacher in private, parochial, charter, or public school may apply for this grant, which focuses on one-on-one art making for the individual classroom teacher, led by a professional artist.

Arts Education Project Grants -- Open to schools, districts and nonprofit organizations, Arts Education. Project grants fund projects that promote artistic excellence and focus on arts learning and creation.
